There are six designated areas in the park for ceremony, for which you have to get a permit. I wrote detailed blog on how to elope in Grand Teton.

The Wedding Tree: probably my second favorite locations outside of Jackson for exchanging 'I do's. The Wedding Tree (about 30 min drive and 15 min drive from the Grand Teton National Park), offers couples a breathtaking backdrop for their vows. You can read more about eloping there in my previous post.

The most ionic place that comes to mind is of course the Million Dollar Cowboy bar. With many cool photo locations such as the famous antler arch, Jackson offers many photo opportunities. If you love winter sports, skiing elopement with the slopes minutes from town, Jackson skiing resort is another great option.

Spring Creek Ranch Spring Creek is a private wedding venue which has some of the best Teton views of anywhere in the valley. With a restaurant, The Granary, with spectacular sunset views this location is ideal for big weddings near Jackson but they also offer the space for elopements with 20 guests or less.

Tips For Planning Your Jackson Hole Elopement

Plan In Advance: Jackson is a popular elopement destination and things fill up quickly. From accommodation to wedding permits especially in the summer. Warm season in WY is short (under 100) so summer month are very popular and busy. Any affordable accommodation should booked way in advance. Wedding permits inside of the Grand Teton are only allowed one a day for given location, so you want to make sure you book your permits months ahead.

Consider the season that best suits your vision. Summer and fall offer lush greenery and vibrant foliage, while winter provides a snowy, magical atmosphere. Fall is short but seen with yellow aspen and willows.

Hire Local Vendors Work with local photographers, planners, and florists who know the area well and can recommend the best locations and logistics for your day.

Respect the Environment Jackson Hole’s natural beauty is a treasure, so ensure you follow Leave No Trace principles. Stick to designated paths and pack out any waste.

Plan for Permits If you’re eloping in Grand Teton National Park or other public lands, you’ll need a permit. You can read about it in my previous blog but in general permits for each calendar year are release in December so plan accordingly, as the permits fill up fast.

Prepare for Weather The weather in Jackson Hole can be unpredictable, so pack layers and be prepared for sudden changes, especially if you’re planning an outdoor ceremony. Jackson is notorious for long winters and only 3 good summer months so keep that in mind. If you don't mind the snow and actually like to ski- skiing elopement might be great idea for you.

Eloping in Jackson Hole allows you to create a day that’s as unique as your love story. Whether it’s a private sunrise ceremony in one of the six locations in the park or exchange of vows at a mountaintop you just hiked to, the possibilities are endless.
