I scouted this location for my clients based on their requirements- they wanted a location that is close to Salt lake City, with minimal hiking and grassy meadows. This elopement took place early October, when leaves were just peaking and trees were turning all sorts of colors. From red maples, green and yellow aspen to orange ashes making for absolutely beautiful backdrop.
My sweet clients Collin and Yukun first exchanged their vows near Big Cottonwood Canyon at their officiant's backyard. After quick ceremony we drove over towards Provo Canyon, and to our locations. We started portraits at this beautiful meadow overlooking the basin, where the bride spotted a few baby deer right across from us. Right when the sun started to set we moved across the road to catch last light and orange glow, and to take more portraits overlooking beautiful Utah Lake.
