Boho Wedding at the Salt Flats
My clients flew to sunny Utah from the East Coast with a vision for their beautiful bohemian micro wedding set in the Utah's famous salt flats. If you're interested in eloping at the salt flats make sure to read my blog on how to. The bride reached out to me with her lion for her wedding: she wanted a romantic table set up, neutral pastel colors, beautiful flowers set on a table, an arch for their ceremony and of course the scenery. They chose to elope in early May, which in Utah can be finicky with the weather. Utah doesn't get much rain general but April and May tend to have the highest pecipation.
The Ultimate Guide to Planning a Boho Elopement
Boho elopements are all about your love, earthy vibes, color and celebrating your story in a way that feels natural and intentional. Whether it’s a beach elopement, one under the stars or in a the desert, or in a cozy mountain meadow, a boho elopement is romantic, relaxed, and deeply meaningful.
Why do you need to plan one?
You can read here how to plan and elopement where you will get ideas, ideal locations and logistics but what makes them bohemian is the decorations.
- Start with clarifying your vision. What color palette are you going for? What flower do you want to include? What about a table set up. My clients wanted something minimalistic with bohemian flare and I helped them with the table and decoration rental. Each state should have an outdoor event and furniture rental. To make it easier you can rent a table, chairs and order some takeout so you can celebrate after.
- Find the right florist who will help you accomplish your vision. There are many amazing florist here in Utah where I live who create beautiful floral arrangements for boho weddings, feel free to reach out for recommendations.
- Pick the right dress. I wrote a guide on best elopement dresses, and some the places I recommend for bohemian wedding dresses are lulus, Doris Wedding or Etsy.
