It is part of the Colorado Riverway Recreation Area. If you're thinking of eloping near Moab this park offers a great alternative to eloping in the Arches National Park.

How to Elope at Dead Horse Point State Park?

Necessary Permits and Wedding Locations:

Almost all state parks in Utah require that you obtain special use permit to have elopement ceremony in the park. Your photographer will also need one so make sure they have it. Great news! I have been approved for all of 2024 to shoot commercially in the park so that's one step less to worry.

Dead Horse Points State Park is very easy in obtaining any permits for eloping couples and I will help you contacting the ranger, there is a small $60 fee and you can get more info here.

Contact the park at least 30 days prior to the desired date you plan to get married in the Park to ensure adequate time for the permitting process.

Flowers and Props:

The park allows real flowers with few exceptions (no pampas grass or anything with seeds)

There are no wedding dates available during Memorial Day weekend.

Officiant: Decide who will officiate your ceremony. You can hire a professional officiant or ask a friend or family member to perform the ceremony for you but ensure that they are authorized to officiate weddings in Utah. As always you will need Utah marriage license (you can get it up to 30 days in advance); I will be happy to recommend you great officiant in Moab.

Other Vendors for Your Elopement:

I can help you find all necessary vendors to make your elopement day truly special. From hair and make up person to flowers and cake.

The dramatic cliffs, red rock formations, and vast expanses of desert create a picturesque setting that is truly awe-inspiring.

You can find numerous hotels in town, as well as more fancy and private Airbnbs or glamping accommodations.
